On March 28, 2025, a delegation from the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute of Fine Arts of Thailand visited Yunnan Arts University (YNAU) for exchanges. Ouyang Junhu, President of YNAU, Jiang Feng, Vice President of YNAU, and Nipha Sophasamrith, President of the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute of Fine Arts of Thailand, along with representatives from China and Thailand, attended the meeting.

Ouyang Junhu and Nipha Sophasamrith exchanged souvenirs on behalf of the Chinese and Thai institutions. Jiang Feng delivered a welcoming speech. Nipha Sophasamrith provided an overview of the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute of Fine Arts. Cao Yue, Dean of the Fine Arts School of YNAU, presented an overview of the Fine Arts School. During their exchanges, both parties reached a consensus and signed a memorandum of cooperation, outlining plans for collaboration in teacher-student exchanges, academic cooperation, and artistic exhibitions. This provides clear guidance and assurance for cooperation in art education between China and Thailand.

This exchange activity holds great significance for YNAU in deepening its educational foundation, enhancing discipline development, broadening the international educational framework, and advancing the establishment of a high-level teaching team. YNAU will further facilitate cross-border exchanges and art practice among its teachers and students. Through initiatives such as project collaborations and cultural experiences, it aims to cultivate artistic talent with international perspectives, strong communication skills, and an innovative spirit while fostering vibrant cultural exchanges and mutual prosperity between the two nations.

Both parties acknowledge that they have previously established close connections in the field of art education. They hope that through this exchange and collaboration, they will combine their collective wisdom and strength to explore new models and paths in art education, thus contributing Chinese and Thai insights to the global advancement of art education. With art as the bond, we strengthen the profound friendship between China and Thailand. With education as the cornerstone, we build a solid bridge for Sino-Thai artistic exchanges. With innovation as the driving force, we propel Sino-Thai art education to new heights.

The Thai delegation visited the teaching laboratory of the Fine Arts School, observed the 2025 exhibition of excellent works by its teachers and students, and engaged in further discussions with teachers and students of the school.
