From November 9 to 10, 2024, the 11th China Higher Drama Education Alliance Exchange Activity and the 5th College Student Drama Performance, hosted by the China Alliance of Theatre Higher Educational Institutes and organized by the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, took place at the Chengdu City Concert Hall. Jiang Feng, Vice President of Yunnan Arts University, Yang Jun, Dean of the Drama School, He Jianyuan, Director of the Acting Department, Associate Professor Zheng Ying, Head of the Stage Arts Department, and Fang Guannan, Associate Professor of the Theatre Literature Department, were invited to attend the event.


Vice President Jiang Feng participated in the presidium meeting held at the Chengdu City Concert Hall on the morning of November 9. The meeting decided on the list of new alliance institutions and the next host for the college student drama performance.
As a jury member for this college student drama performance, Professor He Jianyuan, Director of the Acting Department at the Drama School, upheld the principles of fairness, equity, and openness. Alongside national experts, he evaluated the drama performances presented by participating institutions from all over the country.
Zheng Ying, Faculty Party Branch Secretary for "Party building leaders" and "academic leaders" cultivation at the Drama School and Associate Professor of the Stage Arts Department, participated in the drama, film, and television art design exchange activity. By delivering a speech titled "Intelligence Drives the Future: Exploring the Cultivation of New Quality Talent in Drama, Film, and Television Art Design", she delved into the development of new quality talent from five key dimensions. She also introduced an innovative proposal to create a personalized teaching platform powered by AI. Her forward-looking educational insights and practical exploration won high praise from the experts present.
Fang Guannan, Associate Professor of the Theatre Literature Department at the Drama School, participated in the first and second sub-forums as a speaker and moderator, respectively. He delivered a speech titled "A Brief Introduction to Future Drama Studies: The Interdisciplinary Framework and AI Empowerment", exploring the future direction and intrinsic significance of drama studies in collaboration with experts, scholars, and teachers present. Associate Professor Fang Guannan's insightful speech received high praise from the participating experts and also offered a diverse perspective on interdisciplinary training and drama curriculum development in the context of the new era.
