Lang Qixun, a member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of YNAU, announced the official start of the opening ceremony. All members sang the National Anthem of the People's Republic of China.
Ouyang Junhu, deputy secretary of the CPC Committee of and president of YNAU, delivered a speech titled "Give Wings to Youthful Dreams and Light up Your Artistic Life." On behalf of all faculty, staff, and students, he warmly welcomed the new students and offered his heartfelt congratulations. He briefly introduced the university's remarkable achievements and expressed three hopes for the students:
First, aim high and embrace the mission with a sense of national duty. As the young generation tasked with the great responsibility of national rejuvenation, you must closely tie your artistic aspirations to the realization of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. You should integrate your individual goals into the broader goals of the country and its people, aligning your steps with the times, sharing the fate of the nation and its people, and striving to be someone who makes meaningful contributions to the country and its people.
Second, seek truth, be pragmatic and forge character through self-cultivation and moral development. You must closely combine correct moral understanding, conscious moral cultivation, and active moral practice. You should continuously refine your character and build a strong moral foundation to truly comprehend and master the essence of art. This will enable you to create outstanding works of art that possess strength, integrity, and warmth, better fulfilling the spiritual needs of the people.
Third, think diligently, study wisely, and strive for all-around development in the pursuit of excellence. You must establish a solid professional foundation with the perseverance to overcome obstacles and challenges. At the same time, you should broaden your vision, expand your horizons, and cultivate a wide range of knowledge, including interdisciplinary expertise. You need to develop the ability to think holistically and integrate knowledge from different fields. By continuously igniting your creative potential and honing your skills through dedicated study and an unwavering passion for learning, you can pursue excellence and achieve all-around development.
Finally, he encouraged the students to cherish the opportunity of military training, using it as a chance for self-improvement, willpower enhancement, and physical strengthening, thereby laying a solid foundation for their upcoming university life.
Yang Yang from the Drama School delivered a speech as the faculty representative. He emphasized that in the process of self-discovery and self-realization at university, students need to continuously explore the boundaries of knowledge, be bold in questioning, and dare to innovate. He encouraged students to expand their horizons and deepen their lives through the free exchange of ideas. On the path of collaboration and growth, students should move forward hand in hand, growing together, and strive to become students with a strong sense of responsibility—to themselves, others, and society.

She called on everyone to be the new generation of youth in the new era, to carry the nation in their hearts, bravely shoulder responsibilities, and stay in step with the times. She expressed hope that each student would cherish this valuable time of learning, use art to express beauty and passion, spread positive energy in society, and write their own chapter of youth.

Drawing from his own experiences, he encouraged the students to approach the ups and downs of learning and practice with optimism, to embrace diversity with an open mind, and to nurture genuine relationships with gratitude. Students from the Drama School recited Long Live Youth.
The school emblem was presented to the freshman representatives.
Past achievements are as rich and beautiful as intricate brocade.
There is still room to strive for greater success and new horizons.
Faces beaming, we pay homage to our university emblem
In youthful vigor, we pledge our allegiance to our prime years
Solemnly, beliefs are passed down as the flag changes hands. Ouyang Junhu, deputy secretary of the CPC Committee of and president, presented the regimental flag to the Military Training Corps.
Leaders from relevant departments and schools, all military training instructors, accompanying teachers, counselors, and students enrolled in 2024, attended this opening ceremony.
With winds fair and tides calm, we must set sail and brave the waves.
Our journey is long and our duty great, we must spur our steeds onward with haste.
May all the students enrolled in 2024,
on their long journey of learning,
march with resounding steps towards the path of youth.
With mountains and rivers beneath their feet, open new chapters in countless volumes.
