27 works by teachers and students of the Fine Arts School of Yunnan Art University were selected for the 14th National Fine Arts Exhibition-Yunnan Arts University

Recently, the results of the re-evaluation for the 14th National Exhibition of Fine Arts have been gradually announced. A total of 27 works from YNAU's faculty and students were selected: 8 prints, 7 watercolor and pastel paintings, 4 sculptures, 3 Chinese paintings, 3 comprehensive paintings (comic strips), 1 mural, and 1 mixed media painting. Among these, 2 works qualified for exhibition in Beijing. This is the best performance in the history of the National Exhibition of Fine Arts. Notably, 11 of the selected works were independently created by undergraduate and graduate students. Three undergraduates and two graduate students collaborated with faculty to complete the mural work. Additionally, two faculty members each had two works selected for different exhibition areas. The National Exhibition of Fine Arts, held every five years, is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT), the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC), and the China Artists Association. It is the largest, highest-level, and most influential national comprehensive art exhibition in China. YNAU's achievement in this exhibition affirms the diligent creative work and academic pursuits of its faculty and students, and serves as a test of the quality of talent cultivation at YNAU. The university will use this opportunity to continue promoting discipline and professional development, as well as talent team building. It will focus on creating fine art pieces, continuously improving the quality of teaching, research, and creative work, cultivating more art professionals with innovative spirits and professional qualities for society, and contributing to the development of art in China.
