Art is warm and culture is powerful. We know each other and get together. The East meets the West to witness the enthusiasm and romance as well as the encounter of traditions and modern.

The online exhibition by the Association of Sino-Russian Art Universities had drawn full attention and covered by a number of mainstream media and member universities before its launch.

The online concert - "Joint Efforts to Combat COVID-19 for a Better Tomorrow" organized by the association was also broadcast synchronously on the homepage of the Russian St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra.

Mountains and rivers draw the distance close, and artistic works are loaded with feelings.

Paintings and calligraphy are gorgeous which will leave a glorious memory.

This online exhibition exhibits 121 pieces of works of different styles in various fields of both China and Russia (including 78 pieces from domestic universities and 43 pieces from Russia). These pieces abound in subjects and forms, revealing powerful appeal and vitality.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, a large number of artists who are responsible and have the courage and the conscience of art have created lots of anti-virus works that disclose their true feelings so as to create quality pieces related to the battle against the pandemic.

Behind each piece are artists' persistence in, inheritance and innovation of culture as well as their pursuit of art and craftsmanship.

At 7:00 p.m. on June 19, the online concert by the Association of Sino-Russian Art Universities raised the curtain. When the classical melodies came, the sonorous singing and classical instruments enhanced each other, stirring the audience's heart. Chinese and Russian musicians presented a magnificent and ingenious international concert.

Abundant contents, heart-touching melodies, and clear and bright rhythms would turn into everlasting memories and deep friendship.

By virtue of high art level, diverse forms, distinctive features and different styles, seven universities of art have shown artistic styles in different regions of China. Five original anti-epidemic songs reveal true feelings and reach people's hearts, extending the concern of various regions and universities for the outbreak and their gratitude to frontline medics as well as their wish and blessing for a better tomorrow.

These songs for a shared future for mankind were sung, and joint efforts were made to protect our shared home.

A classical piece The Bells by Rachmaninoff and six pieces from the series Songs and Poems of Wars and Times were performed. These pieces convey the sufferings of Russian people during wars and give them the power to go through the hard times. After several decades, these works still strike a strong chord with the audience.

Paintings convey feelings, while music sublimates friendship.

Art is a medium to warm the world and inspire both Chinese and Russian people to jointly combat the pandemic, bridge the China-Russia cultural exchanges and usher in a brighter future.
