National Institute of Fine Arts Lao

The National Institute of Fine Arts had established in 1959 in Vientiane Capital. During 1959 to 1975 had taught only the traditional arts. After 1976 to 2001 the school had mixed between traditional and modern together  in a curriculum.

And then 2002 this school developed into five years curriculum for Bachelor of arts and changed the name become the National Faculty of Fine Arts.

Again 2010 the name of National Faculty of Fine Arts changed to the National Institute of Fine Arts until now.

In the present the National Institute of Fine Arts have been teaching 5 Departments: Painting, Sculptures, Graphic Arts, Traditional Arts and Restoration and Communication art and Design.
