YNAU Faculty Member Wins the Second Prize in the Logo Design Competition to Celebrate the 65th Anniversary of China-Laos Diplomatic Relations in 2026
The year 2026 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Laos and China. In order to deepen the friendly cooperation in culture and tourism between China and Laos and strengthen the friendship between the two peoples, the results of the Logo Design Competition to Celebrate the 65th Anniversary of China-Laos Diplomatic Relations in 2026, hosted by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos, and organized by the China Cultural Center in Laos, were officially announced on February 6, 2026. A total of 11 entries received awards. The logo "Celebrating the 65th Anniversary of China-Laos Diplomatic Relations", created by Chen Jun, a faculty member from the Visual Communication Department of the Design School at Yunnan Art University (YNAU), won Second Prize in this competition.
A total of 355 entries were received for this event, which went through three rounds of rigorous evaluation: 35 works were shortlisted in the first round of voting, 11 award-winning works were selected from the shortlisted works in the second round, and the final award rankings were determined through overall scoring in the third round. Closely aligned with the theme and rich in creativity, the award-winning works are distinctive, artistic, highly recognizable, and well-suited for communication and promotion, vividly conveying the deep friendship between the peoples of China and Laos and fully showcasing the contemporary appeal of building a China-Laos community with a shared future.
This award fully reflects YNAU's professional strength and sense of responsibility in supporting China's international cultural exchange and enhancing global communication. In the future, YNAU will continue to build on its disciplinary strengths, further promote international cultural communication and regional art exchange, tell China's stories through outstanding design, and convey messages of friendship—contributing the power of art and design to deepening China-Laos friendship and building a China-Laos community with a shared future.
