On July 16, the first special session in colleges and universities for COP15 Global Short Video Collection Activity themed "Guarding a diverse world and building a common homeland on Earth" was held in the lecture hall of Yunnan Arts University (YNAU) Library. At the session, more than 200 teachers and students shared and exchanged their ideas for short video creation with biodiversity protection as the topic. This activity full of "substance" has evoked a warm response among teachers and students.
The activity has invited Prof. Yin Song of Film and TV at YNAU, Zeng Ziyi, general manager of Sina Weibo in Yunnan Province, Wang Qianqian, a trainer of Douyin, and the student representative of Film and TV School, YNAU to conduct thorough communication on a variety of topics such as selection of the creation content, creation skills, and creation process. Subsequently, participating teachers and students freely chose the animals and plants and the ecological environment on campus as their shooting subject to carry out the field creation and instruction.
The COP15 Global Short Video Collection Activity themed "Guarding a diverse world and building a common homeland on Earth" is an activity aiming to present the high-quality 15thMeeting of the Conference of the Parties to theConvention on Biological Diversity(CBD COP15) and expanding the global influence of COP15. The activity has been officially launched on June 9 to solicit short videos from all over the world.
Considering that college and university students are the major audience and creation force of short videos, the collection activity held on campus is expected to further fire the enthusiasm of college and university students to pay attention to biodiversity and participate in the creation of short videos, encourage teachers and students to create a larger number of profound, creative, and high-quality works, and contribute to the hosting of CBD COP15.
It is reported that the collection activity is sponsored by the Office of COP15 Preparatory Work Executive Committee of Yunnan Province, Publicity Department of Communist Party of China (CPC) Yunnan Provincial Committee, Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of Yunnan Province, and Yunnan Provincial Bureau of Video and Television, undertaken by www.xinhuanet.com, and co-organized by Douyin, WeChat, Weibo, and Migu Video under the guidance of Office of COP15 Preparatory Work Executive Committee and the special support of YNAU. Through the emerging content transmission form of short video, the activity hopes to convey the concept of CBD COP15 — Ecological Civilization: Building a Shared Future for All Life on Earth — to call on the public to respect, comply with, and protect nature, and realize the beautiful vision of "harmonious coexistence between man and nature".
In addition, the deadline for collection is scheduled for August 15.
