The Performance Team of Yunnan Arts University (YNAU) Attended the CPC in Dialogue with Political Parties of Southeast and South Asian Countries

On November 10, the CPC in Dialogue with Political Parties of Southeast and South Asian Countries, co-organized by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, was held in Kunming, Yunnan with the theme "Sharing the Outcomes of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation". Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Wang Ning, Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Wang Yubo, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and Governor of Yunnan Province, Shi Yugang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, and other leaders, as well as more than 150 representatives of more than 50 political parties from 18 countries in South Asia and Southeast Asia, attended the meeting.

With the trust of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province, YNAU undertook live performance tasks such as the cocktail party and dialogue, welcome dinner, and the cultural experience activity "A Life in Yunnan". The instrumental performance, exchange, and display were carried out by YNAU's western music team of three people, folk music team of 10 people, and Yunnan minority instrumental performance team of two people. The folk orchestra of YNAU also specially arranged the performance of music from South Asia and Southeast Asia to create an artistic atmosphere of harmony between China and foreign countries. The high-level music performances of the teams of YNAU won praise from foreign guests and successfully built a bridge of friendship between China and foreign countries, bringing them closer with art and music and enhancing mutual understanding.

YNAU will continue to give full play to the social service function as a higher education institution, practice the spirit of "music crosses borders, and culture builds bridges" emphasized by General Secretary Xi Jinping in his reply to Ma Siyi, President and CEO of the orchestra attending the performance and exchange activity commemorating the 50th anniversary of Philadelphia Orchestra's visit to China, actively serve and integrate into the development strategies of China and Yunnan with the unique charm of art, continuously promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and contribute to promoting and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
