Teachers and Students from the Dancing School of Yunnan Arts University (YNAU) Returned with Great Honors after Participating in the Final Evaluation of the 13th "Taoli Cup" National Youth Education and Teaching Achievements

On August 16, the 13th "Taoli Cup" National Youth Dance Education and Teaching Achievements Final Evaluation and On-site Exhibition Activity organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and undertaken by the Department of Science and Technology Education of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Beijing Dance Academy came to an end in Beijing.

Two original works of the Dancing School, Footsteps that Anticipate Happiness and Lotus・Ripple, were selected for this exhibition. Among them, the group dance Footsteps that Anticipate Happiness won the Group Dance Excellent Play Award, and the teacher Niu Sixuan won the Outstanding Instructor Award.

YNAU attached great importance to the works from the inclusion and preparation to the performance in Beijing and spared no effort to ensure the quality of the rehearsals. The participating teachers and students continuously improved the quality of the play, resulting in a captivating stage performance that showcased the Dancing School of YNAU's educational philosophy of inheriting and innovating excellent ethnic dance art based on local traditions. Students from YNAU successfully completed the performance for this year's "Taoli Cup" with a positive spiritual outlook and excellent results.


The "Taoli Cup" National Youth Dance Education and Teaching Achievement Exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It is the highest-standard youth professional dance education achievement exhibition activity in China, and also a comprehensive stage for reviewing China's professional dance teaching achievements, prospering dance repertoire creation, and discovering and selecting excellent dance talents. It is reported that the competition for this year's "Taoli Cup" is fierce, with nearly 2,000 plays and 14,700 people participating in it.

The exhibition and performance of the "Taoli Cup" demonstrated the creative ability and dance performance level of teachers and students from the Dancing School. Moreover, it aims to continuously improve YNAU's quality of education, teaching, and talent training through exchanges and sharing. YNAU will continue to promote learning, practice, and teaching through competitions, cultivate new talents, produce new works, leverage creative performances to develop education, and strive to promote the construction of disciplines and first-class majors.
