On the evening of October 11, sponsored by Yunnan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Yunnan Arts University (YAU), and co-organized by Yunnan Musicians Association and Art Practice Center, YAU, the "Eulogize the New China and Praise the New Era" - Yunnan Concert of Original Works to Celebrate the 70^th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China debuted in the Experimental Theater of Yunnan Arts University.

Pieces of well-known original songs of praise of Yunnan accompanied by heartwarming classic melodies have summoned the audience to eulogize our great motherland, and expect a bright future. In addition to widespread classic pieces, the concert has absorbed the local brilliant works freshly originated in recent years. The concert has been divided into 4 chapters with 16 performances. Performed by famous singers of Yunnan such as Ouyang Limei, He Shu, Gao Shuqin, Wang Xiaokang and Lin Tong, as well as a group of excellent young local singers, the concert, with the participation of the Silk Road Philharmonic Orchestra of Kunming Professional College of Arts, has combined traditions and innovations on this stage. The concert is committed to expressing the praise of Yunnan's music circle to the motherland, promoting the creation and performance of Yunnan native music, and advancing the music development of Yunnan. Dzongyung Droma, chairman of Yunnan Musicians Association, introduced that the concert is the first local concert of original songs cooperated with the symphony orchestra, and it is also the first performance to gather the most Yunnan original musical pieces and Yunnan singers.

Before the unveiling of the concert, all the audience stood up and sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China. The first chapter - "Classics Never Fade Away" kicked off with the Flowing Stream, and classic Yunnan songs such as People of the Wa Nationality Sing New Songs and There is a Beautiful Place led the audience to travel through time and relive the glorious years; the second chapter - "For Boutiques" had Sing a Song and A Nest of Birds and some selected representative award-winning works of the "Five-One Project Awards" by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee performed, which mainly reflects that in the past 70 years, Yunnan musicians have created a batch of outstanding works with rich ethnic styles and beautiful melodies, through which people of all ethnic groups in Yunnan express their emotions and aspirations; the third chapter - "The Glories" mainly shows that in the glorious course of 70 years, all musical schools of Yunnan witnessed booming creations and people of all ethnic groups in Yunnan lived a happy life; the fourth chapter - "Blessing for Our Motherland" is a concentrated show of songs that eulogize the motherland and carry forward the theme of the times, in which excellent works such as My Lancang River and Touch a Dream praising the great motherland and the reform and opening-up, as well as together forging the Chinese Dream were performed.
